Something to share with the MAWC
We went on a run on Sunday 13 July toe Kleinmond (restaurants at the harbour). While we were having breakfast, the Cops arrived and started writing us tickets for Number plates not SABS approved. Fine, we do not have the SABS on the number plate, but is big enough (about 2cm x 2 cm smaller than the SABS one) for them to take a picture of it when exceeding the speed limit. They were also so stupid, had to browse through the book to look up the code for the offense.
The Monday I phoned the head of the Traffic Department and told him that this is rediculous, they are targeting bikers while they are sitting at a restaurant and cannot catch them along the road. The only explanation he had, is that they cannot catch the bikers :-)
I know, I've seen with my own eyes how a little VW Gholf chased 3 guys on 600's and you can just know what happenned......................... they're gone!
Still,....................... the moral of the story which I actually wanted to share with him, is that us bikers will not go to Kleinmond any more and that the Restaurants are going to feel it in their pockets. Sad, isn't it!
